Publication Templates

Publication templates are being provided as a tool for campus communicators as they prepare materials for their areas. As part of the overall brand, these templates help ensure consistency and accuracy in use of the university's visual identity.

All publication templates are available in InDesign. Each download has an .idml which is backwards-compatible to CS4. Most of the template designs include both bleed (color prints to the edges of the document) and non-bleed (color stops at a white border around the edges) options. You can choose formats that can accommodate photos or be used without photos, based on your content.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Download the appropriate size and format to fit your publication needs. The templates will download as .zip files.
  • Use templates as-is or customize to suit your specific needs. It is impossible to foresee all applications and it is not necessary to use all elements or alignments as they are.
  • You will need to have Adobe InDesign, and the fonts, Proxima Nova and Berkeley UC Davis to use these templates.

These template options are designed as flat sheets that print on two sides and fold to standard finished sizes for mailing, handouts or display in racks.

Letter-sized, no-bleed options will print on standard letter-sized paper and fold correctly without the requirement of printing on oversized paper or trimming.
