Diversity and inclusion in communications

Mikael Villalobos led a workshop on incorporating diversity and inclusion into our communications.

He also recommended the Diversity Style Guide as a resource. Developed at San Francisco State University, it’s a guide “to help journalists and other media professionals cover a complex, multicultural world with accuracy, authority and sensitivity.” It links to additional resources ranging from the AAJA Handbook to Covering Asian America to a style guide about reporting on mental health.
